Moduli Space for Kink Collisions with Moving Center of Mass

نویسندگان

چکیده

We apply the collective coordinate model framework to describe collisions of a kink and an antikink with nonzero total momentum, i.e., when solitons possess different velocities. The minimal moduli space only two coordinates (the mutual distance position center mass) is wormhole type, whose throat shrinks point for symmetric kinks. In this case, singularity formed. For non-zero it prohibits solutions where pass through each other. show that unphysical feature can be cured by enlarging dimension space, e.g., inclusion internal modes.

Quantum mass correction for the twisted kink

We present an analytic result for the 1-loop quantum mass correction in semiclassical quantization for the twisted φ-kink on S without explicit knowledge of the fluctuation spectrum. For this purpose we use the contour integral representation of the spectral zeta function. By solving the Bethe ansatz equations for the n = 2 Lamé equation we obtain an analytic expression for the corresponding sp...

Navigating moduli space with complex twists

We discuss a common framework for studing twists of Riemann surfaces coming from earthquakes, Teichmüller theory and Schiffer variations, and use it to analyze geodesics ins the moduli space of isoperiodic 1-forms.

A McLean Theorem for the moduli space of Lie solutions to mass transport equations

On compact manifolds which are not simply connected, we prove the existence of “fake” solutions to the optimal transportion problem. These maps preserve volume and arise as the exponential of a closed 1-form, hence appear geometrically like optimal transport maps. The set of such solutions forms a manifold with dimension given by the first Betti number of the manifold. In the process, we prove ...

Moduli space parametrizations

This is the second of two articles that describe the moduli spaces of pseudoholomorphic, multiply punctured spheres in R .S S/ as defined by a certain natural pair of almost complex structure and symplectic form. The first article in this series described the local structure of the moduli spaces and gave existence theorems. This article describes a stratification of the moduli spaces and gives ...
